Jie Gantofta was founded in Sweden in 1942. The company produced, among other things, pottery, which was often decorated by well-known artists and designers such as Ella Bergstrand, Anita Nylund, Elsi Bourelius and Aimo Nietosvuori. A characteristic of the products designed by Aimo Nietosvuori were clay plates, which became bestsellers in the 1960s and 1970s. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt in 1992.
