Antique desk (1880-1890) with shelves on the front

An exceptionally beautiful and well-kept antique (135 years old +) desk from the years 1880-1890. The desk was imported to Iceland in 1960 and was restored a few years ago (polished, stained and varnished).

What makes the table unique is that it is both a desk and shelves on the front. The texture of the tabletop is vibrant and beautiful, probably made of rosewood (palisander). It was common in previous years to make furniture from different types of wood, which makes the same likely with this beautiful desk. Part of the desk is probably made of beech or oak.
